Research Activities
Aside from the pilot plant work, we are undertaking a program of fundamental research into both the UCC process as well as the fuel preparation and utilization aspects of UCC slurries. The work is being undertaken in association with the CSIRO who have had a long involvement with this technology.
The program has successfully demonstrated the use of a UCC – water slurry to fuel a small, commercially available, Diesel engine. In the near term it is intended to progressively apply these findings towards the development of Diesel engines specifically modified for UCC slurry fuel in partnership with a prominent engine manufacturer.
